This functionality was added as a means to satisfy the intrusion-detection and/or intrusion-prevention requirement (11.4) for PCI DSS compliance. IP Assignment/Reassignment activity will be surfaced in the form of Relay alerts. Using a Location’s Technology index as a database of MAC/IP pairings, RPA is able to detect new devices (“IP Assignment”) and MAC/IP modifications (“IP Reassignment”).
