Copy or move Bot topics to another Bot

What is the difference between copying and moving Bot topics?

Copying or moving topics can save you time on re-creating the same topic in multiple Bots. Copying a topic creates an identical copy of that topic in another Bot. Moving a topic deletes the topic from the original Bot and moves it to another.

NOTE: you can only use this functionality if you have the Train Bots permission. Please email success@goboomtown.com if you wish to get the permission.

How do I copy a Bot topic to another Bot?

1. From the main navigation menu on the left, go to Bots > Bots and double click on your Bot or click on  (Pencil) to open it.
2. On the left navigation bar of the Bots modal, select  (Topics).
3. Click once on the topic(s) you wish to copy.
4. Click on  at the top of the Bot Topics modal. This will open the Move Topic(s) to Another Bot modal.
5. Bot: search for the destination Bot or select it from the dropdown.
6. Create Copy: toggle ON to copy the topic(s).
7. Click Copy. The copied topics will now be available to view and edit in the destination Bot.

How do I move a Bot topic to another Bot?

1. Go to System → Bots and double click on your Bot or click on  (Pencil) to open it.
2. On the left navigation bar of the Bots modal, select  (Topics).
3. Click once on the topic(s) you wish to copy.
4. Click on  at the top of the Bot Topics modal. This will open the Move Topic(s) to Another Bot modal.
5. Bot: search for the destination Bot or select it from the dropdown.
6. Create Copy: keep toggled OFF to move the topic(s).
7. Click Move. The moved topics will now be available to view and edit in the destination Bot. NOTE: they will be deleted from the original Bot.
