Age Verification

• When the product requires that a Staff Member be of a certain age, the Register will prompt for authorization by another valid Staff Member to allow the sale.
• When the product requires that a Customer be of a certain age, the Register will prompt for verification that the Customer’s age has been confirmed before allowing the product to be added to the basket.
• When validating a product and the validation is failed;
  • If that product is the first item to be added to the basket, the whole transaction will be cancelled and will appear in the Cancel Sales Report
  • If the Product is not the first item in the basket, the Register will automatically void the product from the transaction, and this will appear in the Voided Items Report.
• If a Customer has been added to the transaction whose date of birth is stored in the customer’s details, and a product is added to the transaction that requires age verification, then
  • If the Customers age is above the requirement, the Register will not prompt you to verify the age.
  • If the Customers age is below the requirement, the Register will not allow you to add the product.

Reasons – Enable Age Verification Reasons
Set to NO to only require a Yes or No answer to the Validation. Set to YES to use the predefined reasons when validating. Validation reasons are in the Lists
Select All POS Users to allow any POS user to verify another Staff members Age. Select Supervisors Only to allow only Supervisors to verify the Staff members age. With both options, the Staff Members age must be added to the Staff Profile
