A Factory Reset returns the device to its original factory state. It will:
- Remove all configuration & software
- Remove Encryption Keys
- Leave the AEVI Enabled OS in place, meaning the device can be re-provisioned and re-used as if it is a brand new device
- Factory reset of device
- Factory reset during onboarding process
Note you will require access to the Smartpos DMS either directly, or via a live phone call with AEVI, in order to retrieve the Technician password, which changes every 30 seconds
This procedure can be completed during key loading or provisioning, at any point up until the 'Rebox' button is selected
