Device Provisioning

Last Updated: September 5, 2023

Pre Requisites:

  • An XAC AT170 production unit
  • Knowledge and facilities to perform Key Injection
  • Access to the AEVI Provisioning website
  • Specific terminal must be correctly setup in AEVI systems

Process

  1. Make sure the device is charged and powered on. It is best to have the device plugged into the wall as a low charge can cause provisioning to fail
  2. Go to the appropriate QR URL
    • AEVI TSYS - https://provisioning.aevi.com/provision/936f7620-51c7-11ec-8bc0-97464fcace0b
    • Boomtown - https://provisioning.aevi.com/provision/ea46f850-a43e-11ec-9ceb-09564383100c
    • Vivid - https://provisioning.aevi.com/provision/61efe790-a43f-11ec-ad46-ed85c2dcb9eb
  3. Unless instructed otherwise, use the Any device ... default
  4. Click on the WiFi icon to enter the WiFi Details in the provisioning portal (optional)

The provisioning portal can be configured to include your WiFi details.  This makes the provisioning process much easier, because unless you use this feature, you will be required to type the WiFi details into the device every time

  5. From the device, scan the QR code
  6. If necessary, enter the unique identification number (UIN) for the device and press next
  7. The terminal will synchronize. this takes between 10 and 30 minutes
