- No taxes are applied to tip items as they are voluntarily given by customers.
- Tips can be added as either a Fixed Value, or as a Percentage of the Transaction Valueand can be assigned as Cash, Card or any other supporting Tender Type.
- Additional Tenders can be configured to accept or reject tips via the Register Portal.
- Tips can be added to a transaction from several areas:
- While the Staff Member is adding the items to the basket.
- From the Ready to Complete tab of the Open Transactions dialog
- From the Transaction Summary after tendering is complete
- From the Transaction History screen once the transaction is complete
- Adding a tip from Register will prompt the Staff Member to enter the tip amount. At this point, Register does not know what tender method is being used for the tip. When the Staff Member begins tendering, they will have the option to include the tip in the selected tender type.
To view the accumulated Tips for Staff Members, please run the Staff Report on the Portal.
Some integrated payment solutions do not allow for tips to be entered by the customer during payment. For more information please speak to your Solution Provider.
